| Shenzhen Huaqiao City Happy
Volley Central Theater, locates in Happy Volley, Shenzhen, has a strained
cable membrane structure, covers an area of 6000 m2, completed in
1998, won the second award of China Space Structure Engineering. The
layout of the construction is in round shape, the steel pole, steel
arch and outward draught cable locates in concentric rounds with diameter
of 63 m, 86 m, and 98m respectively. The whole building consists of
15 tapered membrane units whose top is supported by a steel pole.
To increase the construction effectiveness, central circle is departure
to left 8 m with a certain angle; the elevations of pole tops are
increased from left to right step by step by 0.6 m, which looks like
a silvery white Outside star Flying Butterfly. |

Changsha World Window Wuzhou Grand Theater,
locates in Changsha World Window, has a has a strained cable membrane
structure, covers an area of 4000 m2, completed in 1997, won the third
award of China Space Structure Engineering. The layout of the construction
is in fan shape; the backward of the membrane was connected with the
fastigium of original construction. The whole membrane structure consists
of 5 double fan units with different spans and heights. The biggest
span is 86.58 m, the highest point is 28 m, and the total length is
54 m. |

Jinshitan Film & TV Art Center |
| Dalian Jinshitan Film &
Television Art Center, locates in Dalian Jinshitan State Travel &
Vocation Area, is a skeleton frame double levels membrane structure,
completed in May 2001. The main membrane structure is a semi- ellipse
steel net shell covered directly with membrane material. The ellipse
net shell is of 60 m in majorant, 45 m in minor axis, 16 m height,
and put on the ferroconcrete loop girder and jointed with precut steel
plate. The lowest point of loop girder is 3 m high, the highest 10
m. to improve the heat preservation ability; the project adopts double
membranes with a clearance of 475mm. The membrane covers an area of
3200 m2. The project won the third award of China Space Structure
Engineering. |
